The COVID-19 virus has forced the cancellation of a number of MSV and MSA swim meets. We had been hoping to postpone the Splash to sometime later in the year, but we have now decided that we will not be able to organise the meet in time to run it this year.
Saturday 20 June, 2020
Start: 5.40pm
Warm up: 5.00pm-5.30pm
Two warm-up / cool-down lanes are reserved for us in the shallow end of the pool from 5.30pm.
Casey ARC (Casey Aquatic and Recreation Centre), Fountain Gate.
The Casey ARC complex is situated on Patrick Northeast Drive between Overland Drive and Majid Drive, next to the Fountain Gate Shopping Centre. It's just off the Princes Freeway at the Narre Warren exit.
See the map and detailed directions on the Location page.
Please be aware that the trees in the carparks are very popular roosting places for birds and that cars parked under them are likely to be liberally covered in bird droppings, so choose your parking spot carefully!
You may choose upto 4 events, with no more than 1 from Events 6-9 (the 50m) and no more than 1 from Events 10-13 (the 100m):
No more than 1 of the following 50m events:
No more than 1 of the following 100m events:
Combined points: 1st, 2nd and 3rd age group medals.
Awards will be presented after supper and the raffle draw.
Entry before Monday 15 June: $40.00
Note that NO entries will be accepted on the night.
Spectators: $10.00 (includes supper) can be paid on the night.
Pool entry is free after 5:00pm, but public admission prices apply before then.
Of course, there will be a raffle with a couple of major prizes and lots of great smaller ones. We're renowned for our raffles and this year is no exception.
We are using the online entry portal used for other MSV and interclub meets.
Note that only ONLINE entries will be accepted for the Splash.
We don't recommend trying to use Internet Explorer for the online entries because a number of people have had problems with it and have been unable to complete their entries.
We'll add the link here for entries as soon as the meet is set up in the MSV portal.
Remember: closing date is Monday 15 June.
The new FINA rules say that World records and FINA top ten can be recognised only at pools with AOE (electronic timing pads), so you'll have to wait until the next State Short-Course Championships to set these.
However, this means that "guest" swimmers (ie. non-Masters members) are welcome to compete in the Splash. To enter, non-member swimmers should go through the entry portal and, on the first page of the registration process, select "FINA Member", enter any country and then complete the entry. The State Registrar will then fix it up in the system.

The 2020 Seals Splash results will be available here and on the MSV website shortly after the meet.
